Sian Davies and Steve Cole – Swiss Gardens Shuttleworth

Wedding Flowers Herts

An outside wedding in a garden is always risky even if there is shelter for the ceremony, but the sun was shining when Sian and Steve married at Swiss Gardens, where they exchanged vows in the quaint thatched pavilion whilst the peacocks paraded outside.

Sian chose cerise phaleonopsis and white dendrobium orchids for her bridal shower bouquet with white freesia for scent. Vibrant pink gerbera were chosen for the bridesmaids hand-tied bouquets with cream freesia and spray roses trimmed with beargrass loops. The groom wore a cerise orchid buttonhole while the groomsmen sported a cream version. The corsages were of cream phaleonopsis with Swarovski crystals on twisted wire strands and looped beargrass to decorate.

In all the excitement it is easy to forget things. Sian forgot all about the money to pay for the cars until halfway through the ceremony – but managed to persuade dad to let her raid his wallet one last time! Steve also had amnesia by forgetting his house keys – delaying the bride, her bridesmaids and the guests – but everything was forgotten once the ceremony was underway and everyone relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful day.
