Sabrina and James, Offley Place, Hitchin, Herts
Sabrina and James were a dream to deal with. Friendly, decisive and trusting! Just as well as they live and work in Dubai and the wedding was for 500 people over two days and took place in the main house and a large marquee in the grounds. Sabrina chose mango calla lily as her focal flower which we also used in golden yellow and cream. To contrast with her beautiful dress Sabrina carried a hand-tied calla lily bouquet of mango and gold edged with dracaena leaf. The three bridesmaids, who wore burnt orange dresses, carried cream calla lily hand-tied bouquets framed with simple loops of flexigrass The groom and groomsmen wore cream calla lily buttonholes with dracaena. The beautiful staircase was decorated with foliage and tiny lights to highlight the approaching bridal party.
The reception flowers for the two days were a mixture of low fishbowl arrangements of mango, gold and cream calla lilies and flexigrass and tall lily vase arrangements with similar flowers. There were two large arrangements for either side of the top table on columns, and a central long low arrangement for the table itself. On the second day the flowers were refreshed and the numbers of arrangements increased to accommodate increased larger numbers. Sabrina wore a beautiful sari and the rich colours of the traditional dress worn by friends and family (including the groom) made for a colourful and relaxed celebration. The photographs show how relaxed and happy couple were and their family and friends had a wonderful time. There are unfortunately too many wonderful pictures to feature here but this is one that we will certainly remember.
