Kerry and Declan – Nurstead Court, Meopham, Gravesend

Wedding Flowers Herts

Kerry was first a bridesmaid at the wedding another of our brides and when she began planning her own wedding she contacted us for design ideas for her own flowers. The colour scheme chosen by Kerry was purple and white which always looks stunning and the purple and white shower bouquet of calla lily, rose and lisianthus was just the design that Kerry had in mind. For a touch of warmth a yellow scented freesia was added to the bridesmaids hand-tied bouquets and to the arrangement for the ceremony table.

It was a beautiful day for the wedding ceremony but the sunshine brought with it some gatecrashers in the form of wasps. Just at the crucial moment with the groom placing of the ring on the bride’s finger and repeating his vows a wasp landed on Kerry who gasped and then shrieked! The sound seemed to do the trick and luckily the wasp flew away and the service resumed – otherwise onlookers might have thought she had changed her mind!

At the marquee reception, the tables were decorated with tall calla lily vase arrangements on mirrors and later in the day with dancing, fireworks and a hog roast to come the t-lights were lit around the base of the arrangements.
