Jo and Chris, Tythe Barn, Tewin Bury Farm, Herts
The two most important things in a successful wedding are preparation and attention to detail. Jo clearly agreed and was extremely well organised, producing a pre-printed sheet of preferences for flowers, styles and images of wedding flowers she liked which we found really useful. Jo chose the popular Amnesia rose in vintage pink with white queen anne’s lace, lisianthus and freesia. The hand-tied bridal bouquet included a small trail of ivy and stephanotis. The bridesmaids carried smaller hand-tied bouquets. Jo took the same trouble with the reception, with damask table runners to complement the vintage theme and bunting on the sweet table. Tewinbury Tythe Barn really suits the vintage country style with a modern twist that Jo was aiming for. The table centres were a modern glass rose bowl lined with moss containing a bowl of flowers, enabling them to be lifted out and given away to guests at the end of the celebrations. A large top table arrangement and a wall hanging on the beam of the barn behind the bride and groom completed the look.
The pictures tell their own story. The bride and bridesmaids enjoying the sun with pink sunglasses made me smile. And to top it all an aerial acrobatic display arranged by Chris, who works at Aberdeen airport in Scotland and has a passion for all things airborne - he really does have friends in high places! Something special to remember at this most memorable of weddings from a couple who clearly like to make the most out of a special occasion.
